Defined Contract: Start training on Monday, 28th April 2025, commence work onsite in June 2025.

About the Role:

As a Locomotive Driver Assistant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring safe and efficient rail operations. You’ll work closely with Train Crew, Operational Staff, Maintenance Teams, and Network Control to support our client’s services.

Training Pathway Overview:

Classroom Training: Paid at the training rate to learn essential skills, starting April 2025.

Practical Assessments: Verified by a Qualified Driver Trainer.

Qualified Role: Transition to a full Driver Assistant rate upon competency and start onsite in June 2025.

This nationally accredited program is designed to prepare you for a fulfilling career in the rail industry.

Reliability: Dependable and consistent in attendance and adherence to safety protocols

Eagerness to Learn: A strong desire to continuously learn and grow within the rail industry.

Ability to pass: A CAT 1 Rail Medical & Fitness assessments.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

Licences: A current Driver’s Licence is required.

Current First Aid Certificate: Hold or be willing to obtain.

Technical Skills: Basic computer skills and general literacy are necessary for completing daily tasks.

Personal Attributes: A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and adaptability to new challenges are essential.
