About the role
This is a full-time contract position based in Maroochydore, until 30 June 2026 with the possibility of extension.
As a Mental Health Clinician you will collaborate with the Clinical Lead and Operations Manager to provide essential services throughout the Country to Coast Queensland (CCQ) region. You will support clients with severe mental health conditions by delivering direct treatment and coordinating their care effectively.
Responsibilities include:
- Conduct thorough clinical assessments and developing tailored treatment plans
- Deliver evidence-based psychosocial interventions
- Manage a clinical caseload and conducting risk assessment with management plans
- Engage in data collection and contribute to monitoring and evaluation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders
- Facilitate care planning and review processes
- Monitor and escalate mental health needs as necessary

Qualifications, Experience and Skills
- Current annual practicing certificate from AHPRA or registered with AASW
- Tertiary qualification in psychology, social work, mental health nursing, or a relevant discipline
- Experience with complex mental health
- Experience working in cross-cultural settings, particularly with First Nations people
- Experience working in trauma-informed and recovery-oriented service
- Excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and software
Requirements
The successful applicant will have or be willing to obtain
- Driver’s Licence
- Police check
- Working with Children Check (blue card)
- Ability to travel frequently to Gympie (fleet vehicle provided)
