Payroll & Accounts Officer

Full-Time role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Payroll & Accounts Officer to join our team.

Reporting to the Group Accountant, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day payroll processing, payroll statutory compliance, employee record keeping, employee onboarding and offboarding administration, as well as assisting the finance team with bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and receivable.

Some of the tasks you will be responsible for (but not limited to):

Weekly payroll processing, ensuring payroll transactions are processed accurately and on time and in compliance with regulatory requirements

Preparation of Payroll Reports weekly and monthly

Drafting employment contracts and offer letters for new hires

Managing the Administration with onboarding and offboarding of Employees and Contractors

Managing the Administration with site compliance for all Employees and Contractors

Administering the Employee Recognition Program

Processing of Accounts Payable, including handling bills, responding to enquiries and processing payments

Skills and Experience

Demonstrated experience administering payroll function, and

Basic understanding of employment law and Employee Awards, and

Experience with financial accounting systems such as Xero / MYOB, and

Highly proficient MS Office skills (particularly Excel), and

Strong keyboard skills.
