About the role.

We have a new and immediately available opportunity for a Talent Partner in the central Talent Team of the Premiers Department. Based in the wider People, Culture & Talent Branch the Talent Partner works with our stakeholders across the Premier's Department and The Cabinet Office to drive successful recruitment outcomes.

In this dynamic and high-profile role, you will have the opportunity to support and shape the success of our talent processes by guiding employees, hiring managers and executives throughout the recruitment journey. We work on a variety of processes and projects where we aim to be leaders in the field within the NSW Public Service.

We operate under a shared responsibility model where we work closely with our hiring managers to enable their recruitment outcomes. The Talent Partner role provides guidance on end-to-end recruitment processes, and this includes accurate legislative guidance and best practice to achieve great outcomes for all stakeholders involved.

You will be a Talent professional who thrives on recruiting a real variety of roles and enjoys the ownership an internal recruitment function brings. Excellent candidate and hiring manager experience is second nature to you and also the desire to share your knowledge on all thing's recruitment.

You will be joining a small but great team of recruiters who focus on customer service, continuous improvement and bringing the best of the market to our stakeholders.

You. Our ideal candidate.

  • Recruitment Experience: Strong in-house recruitment experience, ideally in a large matrixed organisation. You thrive on recruiting a variety of roles and enjoy the ownership an internal recruitment function brings
  • Stakeholder Management: Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to partner with a range of executives in a professional environment. You operate effectively in a shared responsibility model, working closely with hiring managers to enable their recruitment outcomes
  • Communication & Influence: Outstanding communication, collaboration and influencing skills.
  • Adaptability: Exposure to changing environments with a solution-focused and flexible approach. You enjoy designing recruitment solutions for both short and long-term demands
  • Innovation: Proven abilities in innovative thinking and implementing process improvements into your practice
  • Organisation: Excellent coordination and time management skills to manage a dynamic and varied portfolio
  • Technical Knowledge: Ability to provide guidance on end-to-end recruitment processes, including accurate legislative guidance and best practice. Knowledge of Public Sector employment legislation (or ability to interpret other employment awards/legislation) would be advantageous
