Experis Australia has been engaged by our Canberra-based client to source an experienced Microsoft Cloud Engineer / Architect with a minimum of 5 years' experience to support the delivery of various ICT Projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop enterprise-level cloud platform architectures for MS Azure and M365.

Design high-level and detailed solution architectures for cloud-based systems.

Provide technical guidance and impact analysis for user/stakeholder requirements.

Ensure compliance with whole-of-government standards and digital best practices.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business owners, scrum masters, business analysts, developers, enterprise architects & testers.

Support automation initiatives including CI/CD, testing, and cloud platform optimization.

Align architectural decisions with user experience considerations and target architectures.

Advocate for enterprise architecture principles including reuse, configuration over customization, and open data access.

Ensure alignment with DTA's Digital Service Standard.

Act as a strategic leader and influencer within cloud initiatives.

Undertake additional duties as required.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Cloud Experience:

Hands-on experience with Azure Logic Apps, Azure SQL, Azure Service Bus, Azure API Manager.

Strong background in Azure DevOps and Visual Studio for code development, management, repositories, and deployments (CI/CD).

Experience integrating custom-built applications with third-party systems, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM.

Cultural Fit:

Ability to work effectively with geographically dispersed teams.

Strong communication skills for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Proven ability to mentor and collaborate with team members.

Agile Expertise:

Experience working within Agile multidisciplinary teams to deliver secure, user-friendly, and reliable solutions.

Ability to adapt to changes in project scope, direction, and emerging challenges.

Technical Skills:

At least 5 years of experience implementing and managing cloud solutions.

Expertise in enterprise and application-level architecture for MS Azure.

Ability to provide impact analysis and technical guidance aligned with whole-of-government standards.

Nice to Haves:

Demonstrated technical leadership across project and operational tasks.

Strong understanding of cloud-based architectures and their implementation.

Experience in application, integration, or infrastructure platform architecture.

3+ years of experience designing and documenting architectures for large-scale enterprise systems.

Eligibility:

Must reside in Canberra, ACT.

Must hold an active Baseline clearance or above.
