Bellcore is pleased to be working with one of Australia's leading manufacturer and suppliers of electronics equipment. They work with, and consult to, original equipment manufacturers and consultants from a variety of industry verticals to supply high-quality electronic equipment that provide safe, efficient and effective utility. The industries they have preciously served in a very broad, however more recent projects have been in the Defence, Mining, Consumer Goods, FMCG, Industrial, Construction & Automation sector. Some of the services my client provides include:

Example brief: our client was approached by an international manufacturer of sporting goods. They were engaged to design an industry-first, electronic tracking device designed to be a 'golfers best friend'. The tracking device performed a number of innovative functions that enabled precise GPS tracking, mapping every single hole within the golf course, live-tracking and statistics analysis for sharing among friends. Our client design and supplied the electronics device, which was then subsequently packaged and sold to millions of consumers around the world!

OPPORTUNITY

Due to growth, our client is seeking a Sales & Marketing Manager based out of their state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Brisbane's Southern Suburbs, responsible for the continued growth and development of the business in Australia. With three direct reports, comprising of internal sales support & estimators, your primary objective by following proven sales practices is the identification, pursuit and closure of new business opportunities in view of achieving set sales & revenue targets.

This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for driving sales, pursuing new business opportunities and fostering great relationships with clients. Responsibilities include:

  • Management of three direct reports
  • Oversee the Company’s customer base to establish a common approach to retention and growth.
  • Developing new customer relationships in target markets.
  • Manage our CRM sales tool.
  • Travel (local and interstate) to meet current and prospective stakeholders, attend trade shows and other events.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base.
  • Present our products and services to potential clients.
  • Monitoring competitor activities and maintaining awareness of emerging trends, changes in the economic environment and demand drivers that influence market behaviour.
  • Collaborate with other internal roles to advise on strategic marketing plans.
  • Monitor and report on current client trends to provide recommendations to Management and Directors.

CANDIDATE

To be considered for this role, you'll need to possess prior technical expertise in Electronics or Electrical systems. This may be accompanied with commensurate tertiary qualifications, or practical experience on the tools.

In addition, prior B2B sales experience is essential. It would be desirable (although not essential) if candidates have previous technical sales experience selling electrical components, or have had really any sort of sales experience in the field of Electronics Manufacturing or Electrical Engineering dealing with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), Consulting Engineers from EPC or EPCM firms, Electrical Contractors or Major Asset Owners.
