Join Tasracing – Where Integrity drives the Industry forward
The Opportunity
A new chapter for racing in Tasmania began on 1 February 2025, with the launch of the Tasracing Integrity Unit (TIU), which oversees Racing Integrity across the state. We are offering exciting casual opportunities for Stewards to join the TIU and play a key role in shaping this new era.
Tasracing, as Tasmania’s Principal Racing Authority, is seeking a dedicated professional with a strong understanding of racing operations, excellent decision making skills, and a commitment to fairness and transparency. If you’re passionate about upholding integrity in racing, this is your opportunity to make a difference.
As a Stipendiary Steward, you will ensure compliance with the Rules of Racing while supporting the Chairman of Stewards. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining the integrity of race days, trials, inspections, and inquiries.
This flexible role offers 5 to 30+ hours per week based on your availability. Shifts are rostered and include weekends and after hours, making it easy to fit around your other commitments. Positions can be based in either Hobart or Launceston.

Our commitment to animal welfare, industry integrity, and growth is at the heart of everything we do.
With over 150 years of history and a team of over 250 employees, we’re committed to building a united and vibrant industry Tasmania can be proud of.
