About the role

Permanent or temporary part time opportunity to perform duties of a Urologist in at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital (RBWH) and Surgical, Treatment and Rehabilitation Services (STARS). To be involved in the provision of patient services, to maintain and reduce long wait outpatient clinics, provide undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and be actively involved in research as appropriate. To be involved in quality assurance activities, including best practice initiatives and clinical audit and to assist in the overall coordination of Urology Services.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Provide inpatient and outpatient services in Urology Services
  • Participate in the emergency Urology on-call roster, undertake and supervise emergency surgery as required.
  • Actively manage the reduction of long wait outpatient clinic and organise operating lists for maximum efficiency to meet Metro North KPI's.
  • Play an active part in undergraduate and postgraduate training in Urology.
  • Participate in the development and continuing operation of quality assurance activities.
  • Participate in research projects, in cooperation and collaboration with staff from any discipline at the Royal Brisbane & Women's Hospital, related hospitals or other institutions.
