About the role
Provide EMG reporting services to Rockhampton Hospital. These are performed locally in Rockhampton but the RBWH Neurologist will report the data .This contract concludes 30/06/2027. To provide EMG services to RBWH. There may be time after delivering the above service to conduct EMG studies at RBWH at a time of the week to be negotiated. To provide Movement Disorders clinical services to RBWH. There is a multidisciplinary Movement Disorders clinic held once weekly on Wednesday afternoons that the Neurologist would join.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
- Clinical management of neurology patients on weekends and public holidays if your on-call shift coincides with one of these.
- Demonstrates, including at Performance Appraisal Meetings, the standards of the Professional Practice Framework, Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the Values in Action of MN HHS
- Supervise the clinical care of patients by Junior Medical Staff in the Department. All on-call and on-site rosters are co-staffed by junior medical staff on parallel rosters.
- Provide ethical decision making in the achievement of organisational goals.
