As a Food and Beverage Attendant, you will play a key role in creating a positive and memorable experience for our guests. Your responsibilities will include serving food and drinks, maintaining a clean and inviting atmosphere, assisting with the setup and pack down of functions, and delivering exceptional customer service. We’re looking for someone with a friendly, professional demeanor, a passion for hospitality, and a strong team-oriented approach.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner.

Take customer orders for food and beverages accurately and efficiently.

Serve food and beverages in a timely and professional manner.

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of venue areas, including tables, chairs, floor and balcony.

Monitor and ensure customer satisfaction throughout their event.

Process payments and operate cash register/POS system.

Follow all health and safety regulations and company policies.

Assist with setting up and closing the venue for a variety of functions including weddings, birthday, corporate and private events.

Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to ensure a smooth service.

Assist in the kitchen by performing tasks such as polishing cutlery, operating the dishwasher, sorting and storing utensils and crockery, and ensuring the kitchen remains clean and organised.

Work collaboratively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service.

Uphold high standards of food safety and hygiene at all times.

Support with restocking supplies and maintaining inventory levels.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar role in the food and beverage industry is required

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.

A positive attitude and a passion for customer service.

Flexibility to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and public holidays as needed.

Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service.

A team player with a proactive approach to tasks.

Drivers Licence preferred

RSA & Food Safety Certificate required

Hospitality certificate (Advantage)

Barista Experience is preferred
