A&K Innovations is a General Engineering company, looking for an all round Fitter Machinist with Welding experience.

We also offer a general engineering service to our customers whose needs are many and varied, including design, milling, turning and precision fitting.

We manufacture interesting, quality products. The labor side of this process needs to be undertaken by a fastidious tradesman. Training will be undertaken in our Southport facility, with machinery & materials supplied.

The job includes,

As a Fitter Machinist, you will be required to perform both manual, Lathe and milling operations to high tolerance. Working on elevator and escalator components, and other associated equipment such as motors, gearboxes, sheaves.

Detailed welding assembly of laser cut & machined components and assembly of powder coated parts to form quality pieces of equipment for an international market. Packaging & dispatch.

Skills and Experience Required:

Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter and Turner

Experience in manufacturing, machining, fitting, assembly.

Lathe and milling experience

Basic welding experience

Physically fit and able to work well within a team

Reliable with great work ethic

The ability to work autonomously and with minimal supervision.

Basic mechanical hand tools

Australian Drivers License

Fork Lift License an Advantage
