About Us

Assisi Aged Care (Assisi) is a single provider of residential aged care services located in Rosanna, in leafy northeast Melbourne. Assisi is a not-for-profit organisation for Melbourne’s elderly Italian community who are predominantly of the Catholic faith. We are fully accredited under the existing aged care quality standards and remain dedicated to achieving success in the rapidly changing aged care regulatory environment. About the role

Assisi has a 12-month temporary full-time position for a Quality Systems Project Officer available until March 2026, with the possibility of extension. Reporting to the Director of Care, the role will work in partnership with the Quality Manager, Clinical Care Manager, and other members of the Executive and Leadership Team to develop and embed processes and deliver outcomes that ensure Assisi can meet the requirements of the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards. Key tasks will include obtaining a sound understanding of the existing clinical and quality operating systems, undertaking gap analyses, preparing action plans, developing policy guidance, preparing quality self-assessment documentation and assisting to embed new quality processes. The position is based on-site in Rosanna.

About You

You will:

Be a capable and confident aged care registered nurse or allied health professional with clinical, quality and/or project management experience

Possess a passion for quality systems development and continuous improvement.

Have sound knowledge of the aged care regulatory environment and the existing and strengthened aged care quality standards.

Possess strong interpersonal, collaboration and leadership skills, have clear focus and time management skills.

Be confident and capable in the use of information technology systems

Be clear and concise in written communications and be motivated for success.

Possess full working rights in Australia

Key Selection Criteria

Tertiary qualifications in Nursing, or an allied health discipline.

Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Experience in the delivery of care and/or specialist services in an aged residential setting

Sound knowledge of the Australian aged care regulatory environment and strengthened quality standards

Project management experience and ability to meet project deadlines

Advanced written skills

Motivation to learn and to lead others for positive outcomes.

Ability to practice sensitively in keeping with a culturally and linguistically diverse environment.
