About the Role
This isn’t just another sales job—it’s an opportunity to become a trusted advisor in the industry. As a Technical Sales Representative, you’ll work directly with customers, helping them choose the right engineered wood and building solutions for their projects. You’ll be out in the field, visiting worksites, offering expert guidance, and making sure everything is on track from consultation to installation. Whether it’s answering technical questions, recommending the best materials, or collaborating with engineers, your role will be essential in making each project a success.
About You
You love working with people just as much as you love working with building products. You have a solid understanding of engineered timber, structural solutions, and installation best practices. You’re someone who can take complex technical details and explain them in a way that makes sense to customers, helping them feel confident in their choices. Whether you’re talking to a builder about load-bearing beams or helping an architect select sustainable materials, you’re passionate, approachable, and always ready to find the best solution. A valid driver’s license and a willingness to travel around Newcastle are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with builders, engineers, designers, and architects to recommend the best timber and building products for their needs.
Provide expert advice on materials, installation techniques, and performance benefits.
Identify and follow up on sales opportunities to help grow the business.
Visit worksites to understand project requirements and offer tailored solutions.
Collaborate with engineering and installation teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Keep up to date with industry trends, competitor products, and new technologies.
Build strong, lasting relationships with clients and industry professionals.
Salary & Benefits
$80,000 to $100,000 Base + Super + Car / Allowance + Commissions
