About the role

As a Purchasing Officer at Combo Industries', you will be responsible for managing the procurement of materials, supplies, and services to support the company's manufacturing operations. This full-time position is based in our Wingfield, SA 5013 location. In this important role, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our business.

What you'll be doing

Liaising with internal staff to understand their purchasing requirements

Sourcing and evaluating suppliers to ensure we obtain the best value for money

Negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favourable terms

Placing and expediting purchase orders to meet production deadlines

Monitoring supplier performance and taking corrective action as needed

Maintaining accurate records and inventory data in our procurement systems

Identifying opportunities to improve procurement processes and policies

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years' experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably within a manufacturing environment

Strong negotiation and commercial acumen to secure the best deals for the business

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal staff

Proficient in using procurement and inventory management systems - Amwin software

Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and resolve supply chain issues
