We are seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join our client based in Canberra, within the ICT Networks & Infrastructure Platforms team, part of the ICT Operations Branch. This team plays a critical role in providing ICT support and infrastructure services to the department and Ministers' Offices.

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will be at the heart of operations, managing the daily activities of the primary Data Centre and overseeing a critical project to upgrade the UPS and AC systems in the Data Centre.

Key Requirements

·Manage daily operations of the primary Data Centre, including UPS and AC monitoring.

·Handle rack management, cabling, and space optimization within the Data Centre.

·Coordinate with vendors for system maintenance, upgrades, and compliance.

·Monitor system performance and utilization using tools like vROPs and EcoStruxure DCO/DCE.

·Enforce security and best practice frameworks to maximize uptime.

·Provide technical support for the upcoming Data Centre upgrade project, including vendor coordination for installation and maintenance works.

·Contribute to the creation of design, build, and operational documents for Data Centre processes.
