Position Title: Warehouse Coordinator
Reports To: Managing Director
Employment Type: Full-time (Monday to Friday)
Location: Burwood, Victoria
Position Overview
The Warehouse Coordinator plays a crucial role in the seamless operation of NEXTGEN’s AV hire services. This role is responsible for overseeing the preparation and de-preparation of audio-visual equipment, managing maintenance schedules, and ensuring the availability of equipment for upcoming events. The Warehouse Coordinator also manages the fleet of vehicles, resolves equipment shortages, and ensures compliance with safety regulations.
This position is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, a positive attitude, and proven AV hire industry experience. Only applicants with relevant industry experience will be contacted.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Preparation & Logistics
Oversee the preparation and de-preparation of AV equipment for hire and installations.
Ensure all equipment is checked, tested, and ready for deployment.
Identify and resolve any equipment shortages or faults before dispatch.
Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory and availability.
Warehouse & Maintenance Management
Implement and oversee maintenance schedules for all AV equipment.
Coordinate with suppliers and service providers for equipment servicing and repairs.
Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient warehouse environment.
Ensure all equipment storage and handling processes comply with safety standards.
Fleet & Logistics Management
Manage and maintain the fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are in top operational condition.
Schedule and oversee regular vehicle servicing and repairs.
Ensure proper loading and unloading of vehicles to minimise damage and improve efficiency.
Coordinate transport logistics to meet event deadlines.
OH&S Compliance
Ensure adherence to Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) standards within the warehouse and during transport.
Conduct regular safety checks and risk assessments.
Provide training and updates to staff regarding warehouse safety procedures.
Communication & Coordination
Work closely with the operations and scheduling teams to meet project deadlines.
Act as a key contact for AV technicians regarding equipment availability and maintenance.
Communicate effectively with external suppliers and service providers.
Key Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience in the audio-visual hire industry, specifically in warehouse and logistics operations.
Strong knowledge of AV equipment handling, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Current Truck Licence and Forklift Licence (mandatory).
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Ability to resolve shortages and logistical challenges efficiently.
Strong communication skills and a positive team-oriented attitude.
Familiarity with inventory management systems and warehouse software.
