WestVETS Animal Hospital Anstead – VETERINARY RECEPTIONIST

Full Time/Part Time

WestVETS Animal Hospital (Anstead) is a small animal and equine practice, based in the Western Suburbs of Brisbane, 15 kms from the CBD. We practice a high standard of medicine and surgery in our well-equipped, modern and very busy practice.

We are seeking someone with extensive customer service/reception experience and the maturity and resilience to deal with sometimes difficult situations. Previous experience in a Veterinary environment (software Vision) would be highly advantageous, but it is not essential. Provided you have a passion for reception and admin duties – we want you!

What You'll Be Doing:

• Welcoming clients and patients: From puppies and kittens to alpacas, goats, horses and everything in between!
• Providing exceptional customer service: Offering an empathetic and professional first point of contact for our clients and their animals.
• Being the ultimate multi-tasker: Juggling appointments, answering a high volume of phone calls, taking payments, maintaining client files and generally being a Receptionist extraordinaire!

What We Need From You:

• Reliability & Commitment: You’ll need to show up ready to handle whatever the day brings with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude.
• Resilience: Working in a vet clinic isn’t always easy. We need someone who can deal with cuddling adorable puppies to professionally dealing with sometimes difficult clients
• Initiative: You’ll use your initiative to problem solve and make decisions within your role.
• Weekend Availability: You will need to be available to work a half day on a Saturday once a month.

The position is full-time (38 hours per week) but we will consider part-time for the right candidate(s).
