Are you a recent graduate or near completion of accounting degree and eager to kick-start your career in a dynamic and supportive environment? TAFE Gippsland is looking for a motivated and detail-orientated Graduate Accountant to join our Finance Team.

About the Role

As a Graduate Accountant, you will report to the Manager Financial Planning, Reporting & Analysis and assist in producing financial reports, maintaining accounting records, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop your career in accounting within the Gippsland region.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with financial close processes, including preparing general ledger journals, reconciling accounts, and uncovering key insights.

Support the creation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, translating numbers into meaningful reports that drive business decisions.

Assist with Accounts Payable and Receivable processing, invoice recording and debt collection.

Contribute to internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with tax obligations (BAS, FBT) while identifying trends and efficiencies.

About You

Hold a Bachelor in Commerce, Accounting or Business Management (or related field) or near completion.

Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in MS Suite of Programs.

Commitment to achieving CA/CPA certification in the future with support.

Mandatory Requirements

Current Drivers Licence

Valid Working with Children Clearance

National Police Check (less than 12 months old)
