About the role

Weldmark is local steel fabrication and erection company, seeking a skilled Steel Fabricator/Welder to join our team in Tamworth, NSW. This is a full-time permanent position that will involve the fabrication and welding of metal structures and components to the highest quality standards.

What you'll be doing

• Fabricating, assembling, and welding steel structures and components to engineering specifications
• Interpreting technical drawings to inform the fabrication process
• Operating various welding equipment such as MIG, TIG, and arc welders
• Performing physical inspection and quality control checks on completed work
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised work environment
• Collaborating with the wider production team to ensure timely project delivery

What we're looking for

• Relevant trade qualification in welding or metal fabrication (Cert 111 Engineering)
• Proven experience as a steel fabricator/welder, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial setting
• Excellent knowledge of welding techniques and equipment, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
