About the role

As the Housekeeping Manager at Hotel Marvell' in the beautiful coastal town of Byron Bay, NSW, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction across our renowned establishment. This full-time position is integral to the smooth running of our hotel operations and will provide you with the opportunity to lead and develop a dedicated team of housekeeping professionals.

What you'll be doing

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping department, including scheduling, task delegation and quality control

Recruit, train, and manage a team of housekeepers, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills to deliver exceptional service

Develop and implement housekeeping policies, procedures and best practices to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation

Liaise with other hotel departments to ensure seamless coordination and timely resolution of any housekeeping-related issues

Monitor and report on departmental performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and driving continuous improvement

Maintain thorough inventory control and procurement of housekeeping supplies and equipment

Foster a positive, collaborative, and customer-centric work environment within the housekeeping team

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years of experience in a housekeeping management role within the hospitality industry

Proven track record of leading and motivating a team of housekeeping professionals

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation

Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask effectively

Proficient in using housekeeping management software and other relevant technologies

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with all hotel stakeholders

A passion for providing exceptional customer service and creating memorable guest experiences
