As the steward for digitally enabling Australia’s health system, the Agency plays a key role in coordinating national engagement, delivery, and adoption of digital health to facilitate person-centred, connected healthcare. Our responsibilities span national digital health services and systems, including My Health Record, Electronic Prescriptions, and the MyHealth App.

About the Role

The Lead Cyber Security Awareness and Education Officer is responsible for providing security awareness, education and guidance for the Australian health sector, and the Agency’s workforce.

The Lead Cyber Security Awareness & Education Officer will be required to consult and liaise with external stakeholders with a proven ability to build and maintain successful working relationships.

As a member of the Cyber Operations Team, the Lead Cyber Security Awareness & Education Officer is required to integrate and work alongside a dynamic team of professionals to collaboratively work with the Australian healthcare industry to uplift the cyber maturity of the Australian Health sector.

A large part of this role will involve being comfortable presenting training and education talks with a number of stakeholders, so a positive attitude towards presenting and a comfortability delivering in front of large groups is essential, as well as proficiency in delivering engaging, simplified presentations to diverse audiences.

What You’ll Bring

Experience auditing current state and future requirements that form the Australian Health Sector and providing guidance material for the agency to address these needs.

You will expand the range of cyber security guidance materials for the healthcare sector that are published by the Agency and provide input into campaigns designed to distribute these materials to healthcare audiences

Experienced in methods for gathering and analysing stakeholder feedback on content and campaigns, including collating and interpreting weekly data analytics for multiple Agency communications channels and reporting on campaign metrics.

Knowledge of cyber security best practices and Australian Government security standards, such as the Information Security Manual (ISM) and Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF)

Eligibility

  • Ability to obtain and maintain national police check.
  • Australian Citizenship is a condition of eligibility.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a higher clearance if required by the Agency.

Salary: This role offers between $98,045 – 110,612 plus 15.4% superannuation depending on skills and experience.
