The Opportunity:

We are looking for a Trade Assistant to join our Mackay workshop team. At Emerald Coaches, we are an output-focused organisation, and we can work with you to provide flexible full-time working arrangements on a needs basis. With over 100 staff, many of whom are drivers, we want to make sure everyone enjoys the ride, so safety is our top priority.

About the role

As the Trade Assistant you will be supporting the following duties:

• Carry out general workshop duties as directed (e.g. mechanical tasks as directed by manager etc.);
• Restoring damaged fleet to their original condition by removing dents, mending parts, removing parts, removing rust and repairing scratches;
• Report needs for additional service or repairs to vehicles that has been detected during routine inspections;
• Detailing of fleet;
• Comply with all company policies and procedures;
• Comply with all Workplace Health & Safety legislation;
• Complete necessary and essential paperwork as required,
• Other related Workshop tasks as and when required.

Skills and experience

• MR Drivers Licence or willing to obtain;
• Relevant experience in a similar role is preferred;
• Good communication and planning skills;
• Time management skills;
• Strong attention to detail.
