Reporting to the National Customer Experience Manager an opportunity has arisen for a Tractor Sales Specialist to join our Customer Care Team. This position will be based at our Head Office in Derrimut.
The Tractor Sales Specialist (TSS) is responsible for managing customer sales enquiries, qualifying leads, coordinating with Dealers, and ensuring a seamless follow-up process. The TSS plays a crucial role in maintaining clear communication, efficient follow-up, and delivering a consistent customer experience.
Reporting to the National Customer Experience Manager this role is pivotal in driving the conversion of sales enquiries into machine sales.
Key Responsibilities:
Initial Customer Contact:
· Receive and respond to customer sales enquiries.
· Gather preliminary information about customer needs, budget, location, and specific requirements.
· Qualify the customer's enquiry to ensure they are interested and able to proceed to the next stage.
Qualification of Enquiry:
· Verify that the enquiry aligns with the company's products and services.
· Assess additional customer preferences or needs that may influence Dealer assignment.
Enquiry Handover to Dealer:
· Identify the appropriate Dealer based on location, product availability, or customer preference.
· Discuss opportunities with Dealer, prepare and send an enquiry package to the Dealer, including customer information, product/service interest, and specific requirements.
· Provide instructions to the Dealer for follow-up with the customer.
Dealer Follow-up with Customer:
· Ensure the Dealer contacts the customer within a specified timeframe to discuss the enquiry and provide a quote.
· Address any customer questions and confirm product/service details as needed.
· Update the TSS on the initial contact status and expected quote delivery time.
Progress Follow-up:
· Monitor the progress of the enquiry and ensure timely responses from the Dealer.
· Record updates, including the status of the quotation and any challenges reported by the Dealer.
· Escalate or offer additional support if needed to ensure the enquiry progresses.
Enquiry Closure:
· Confirm the enquiry status and document the outcome.
· Update the enquiry record, marking it as closed, and document whether the enquiry led to a successful sale or requires further action.
· Schedule additional follow-up if the customer needs more time to decide.
Sales Calls:
· Warm calls to existing customers to promote marketing campaigns and finance special offers.
· End of finance term calls to offer the opportunity to purchase again with finance.

Knowledge Requirements:
Excellent customer service skills, with a passion for supporting customers and lead opportunities via outbound customer contact.
Basic understanding of the Farming/Agriculture machinery and industry – previous experience in the industry would be highly advantageous.
Intermediate knowledge and competency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
Work Environment:
Predominantly office-based role with occasional travel to meet with Dealers or customers as needed.
Standard office hours with some flexibility required for follow-up activities.
