About the role
We are excited to offer an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Registered Undergraduate Student of Nursing (RUSON) to join the team at South West Healthcare. In this role, you will have the chance to work across our supportive and welcoming Medical/Palliative Care, Rehabilitation, Emergency, and Acute Care Units. As a RUSON, you'll play a key role in assisting Registered Nurses by providing delegated aspects of patient care, supporting the delivery of high-quality healthcare to our patients.
We are seeking RUSONs (students in their 2nd and 3rd years of the Bachelor of Nursing program, including 3rd and 4th year double-degree students) to support our nursing team in delivering safe, effective care. RUSONs will work under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse at all times, within the scope of their education, assessed competencies, and clearly defined role parameters.
Applicants should be able to commit to 0.2 EFT (16 hours per fortnight) on a flexible roster, which operates across seven days a week. These positions are fixed term, with the opportunity to work varying hours that suit individual circumstances and align with study commitments.
Successful applicants will gain valuable insight into our Graduate Nurse Program and have access to our dedicated nurse educators for ongoing support and development.
What you bring
Along with motivation to contribute in a fast paced and highly skilled workplace, to be eligible candidates must be currently enrolled in a University course that leads to registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia and able to obtain a written recommendation from applicable University.
