About the Role

As an APS 5 Legal Practice and Capability Officer, you will be an integral part of a team that supports the key legal operations of our Australian Government client. You will work within legislative frameworks, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and help streamline processes to meet the client's strategic goals.

You will effectively balance administrative and procedural tasks while supporting important matters including Administrative Review Tribunal (ART) cases and Freedom of Information requests.

What You Will Do

Work within established legal frameworks to ensure compliance with statutory timeframes.

Engage and liaise with key stakeholders, including external lawyers, Tribunal representatives, and case managers.

Research and interpret business system information and create ART case summaries, draft responses, and related documentation.

Manage administrative tasks in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Contribute to continuous process improvements by identifying opportunities for efficiency and providing feedback.
