We have an opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager in an exciting technical sales role in a full-time capacity. Our company is introducing a new hybrid energy management system into the Australian market which will be at the core of our Energy Management division. This exciting new technology is aimed at commercial & light industrial end users and involves new hybrid inverters & battery storage to help clients with solar installations be more efficient and lower their costs. The position will be responsible for the sales representation and business growth of these products & solutions via the appointment of a network of installation partners around Australia.
Location is flexible as the successful candidate can either work from one of our established offices or operate from a home office. The role is highly mobile as the successful candidate will be ‘on the road’ visiting existing and prospective clients.
This exciting role is at the centre of what our company is known for…the sale & support of technically advanced globally recognised electrical product solutions and the delivery of the best customer care in our industry.
You will be dealing with and developing new clients in the following markets:
Solar & Renewable Energy
Energy Management & Infrastructure
Electrical Wholesalers
Electrical Contractors
Electrical Consultants and Engineering Firms
Energy Consultants
End Users
General Electrical Industry & Power Quality Sectors
You will be representing a product portfolio that includes:
Hybrid inverters
Off-grid inverters
Advanced battery storage solutions
Power meters
Energy Management Solutions
Do you?
Have a minimum of 4 years of experience as a mobile sales representative or BDM selling products within the electrical industry?
Have a minimum of 3 years of experience selling inverters and associated products to solar / renewables clients?
Have a sales-driven personality and have a proven track record of hitting monthly sales targets?
Have great ‘people skills’ and the ability to build strong long-lasting relationships?

Here’s what you MUST HAVE to apply for this position:
A minimum of 4 years experience as a Sales Representative or BDM in the electrical industry.
A minimum of 3 years experience selling solar / inverter products.
Some Additional skills that we would like you to have:
You must have the discipline, initiative and self-motivation in being a self-starter and managing your time without supervision.
You must have a very strong drive to achieve sales targets - a "whatever it takes" attitude.
Possess a high level of attention to detail.
Be able to tolerate questionable humour.

This position reports to our National Sales Manager in Melbourne and is a highly mobile traditional ‘on the road’ sales rep role involving the regular visiting of clients.
Salary: $100K- $120K base salary (depending on experience) + generous company bonuses + $15K Car Allowance + Superannuation + Fuel + Phone/laptop
