We are looking for experienced Mine Geologists for an exciting new opportunity to support established clients on their currently operational coal mine sites in QLD. There is the ability to live locally in Central QLD, working DIDO or FIFO from Brisbane (both with paid travel) on an 8/6 roster.

The Roles

Supporting technical services teams on site, you'll bring your coal mine geological expertise to assist with day to day coal mine planning and execution support.

All travel time and costs, as well as accommodation will be covered, ensuring you are not out of pocket for any expenses, alongside Prime Mining's industry leading remuneration.

The roles will involve:

Supporting mine planning with short term surfaces, from drilling data (Vulcan).

Assisting operations with seam/parting identification and mining to enable clean coal mining practices.

Collect and collate all geological information relevant to the mining process.

Provide information and advice to mine planning processes to meet production and quality targets.

Pit inspections and geological data collection and data entry.

To be considered you must meet the following criteria:

A tertiary qualification in Geology or similar.

Located in QLD or willing to relocate/travel.

You have previous practical experience in an open pit coal mining environment and an understanding of mining operations.

Current Australian drivers licence.

Have exceptional and professional communication skills to engage and influence other personnel within the business.

Have excellent time management and task prioritisation skills.

Have an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development.
