The Opportunity

NBC Accounting Services is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team in Mount Gambier, SA 5290. As an Accountant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality financial accounting and reporting services to our diverse client base.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and analyse financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements

Conduct detailed financial analysis and reporting to support business decision-making

Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies

Assist with the preparation and review of tax returns and other regulatory filings

Collaborate with clients and colleagues to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings

Provide technical guidance and support to more junior team members

What We're Looking For

Tertiary qualification in Accounting or a related field (or currently pursuing one).

Minimum 2 years of experience in an Australian public practice accounting firm, specializing in taxation.

Expertise in Xero – certification is highly regarded.

Strong technical knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and taxation regulations

Proficient in the use of various accounting software.

Strong communication skills – both written and verbal.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
