Position: Disability support worker

Type: Casual

Salary: $30-$35

Responsibilities:

Provide hands-on support to individuals with diverse needs, including but not limited to physical disabilities, intellectual disabilities, mental health challenges, and elderly individuals.

Assist clients with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, medication management, and household tasks.

Foster a positive and inclusive environment that promotes independence, dignity, and respect for all individuals.

Build meaningful relationships with clients and their families, understanding their unique preferences, goals, and aspirations.

Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, including healthcare professionals, to ensure the holistic well-being of clients.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client progress, activities, and any incidents as per organizational policies.

Participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar support worker role is desirable but not essential.

Certificate III or IV in Disability, Aged Care, or a related field is preferred.

Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).

National Police Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
