Factory Process Worker /Delivery Driver

· Casual to start with fulltime offered after 6 months

Better Choice Fisheries is one of Australia’s largest privately owned Seafood Processing companies, we are looking to appoint someone in the role of Factory Process Worker / Delivery Driver with a minimum MR license in a casual capacity, approx. 38hrs per week to start, leading to fulltime after 6 months trial.

Early Morning Starts (5.30am) and possible weekend work. Previous experience is a must.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Picking & packing orders

· Palletising stock for storage

· General upkeep of the quality of product

· Cleaning of storage and work area

· Adhoc duties as required

· Energetic driver for multiple deliveries.

· Must provide current RTA printout

· Some heavy lifting involved

· Willing to learn all factory positions

Skills and Experience

· Knowledge of fish/seafood products

· Understanding of company HACCP food safety program and the cold chain process in particular

· Excellent communication

· Excellent attention to detail

· Ability to work in a team as well as autonomously

· Excellent organisational skills

We are looking for someone who is a forward thinker, capable of working unsupervised

Minimum MR license essential for Driver.

Must have Forklift license

Previous experience in Sydney, Illawarra, Southern Highlands, South Coast, North Coast and Canberra regions would be considered an advantage.

· Must adhere to strict HACCP & Food Handling guidelines

· Effective communication skills both written & verbal

Essential

Must be willing and able to work early morning starts. Typically 12am start to 8am.

Be physically fit and able to perform repetitive heavy lifting. Must be certified medically fit.

Experience with delivery perishable food is a plus.

Desirable

Fork lift license and previous experience in the Seafood industry.
