The Role

As the Principal Engineer of web development, you will lead by example, showcasing expertise in frontend technologies and guiding onshore/offshore teams through collaborative modernization efforts. Key aspects of the role include:

• Driving the full web uplift of rewriting all web applications into modern web-based and mobile platforms using React and React Native, including building the strategy and design of this execution.
• Supporting serverless development with Node.js while ensuring delivery excellence with robust testing frameworks.
• Establishing coding standards and sustainable frameworks for the teams to follow.
• Act as the right hand to the Head of Digital in guiding teams through this critical transformation.

Your Profile

Technical Expertise:

• A frontend-first mindset with React skills as a priority; React Native experience is desirable.
• 5-8 years of experience as a Senior Developer delivering high-quality frontend solutions.
• Exposure to serverless development and Node.js.
• Familiarity with modern web libraries (e.g., React Query) and infrastructure-as-code tools (AWS CDK/Bicep).
• Strong knowledge of scalable frameworks, coding standards, and broader technical practices.

Leadership Skills:

• Proven track record of developing frameworks and patterns for engineering teams.
• Strategic vision to modernize systems, uplift teams, and collaborate across functions.
• Capacity to guide onshore/offshore teams through transformation while fostering technical and career growth.
