We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee financial operations, ensure compliance, and drive process improvements within our finance team.

About the Role:
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in managing financial reporting, maintaining accurate accounting records, and providing valuable insights to support business decision-making. You will work closely with key stakeholders, ensuring the company’s financial health and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and analyse financial statements to provide accurate insights into the company’s financial performance.

Build out a strong month-end process, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cashflow reporting.

Present key financial metrics to organisational leads on a fortnightly and monthly basis.

Maintain up-to-date accounting records, handle journal entries, and reconcile accounts to ensure accurate financial data.

Ensure the integrity of balance sheet reconciliations.

Analyse financial data to identify trends, interpret results, and provide valuable insights that support decision-making processes.

Collaborate with the team to develop and monitor budgets and financial forecasts, ensuring financial stability and strategic planning.

Reconcile fixed assets, including property assets, depreciation, and amortization, as well as insurance related to fixed assets.

Oversee payroll processing and maintain accurate payroll records, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Prepare and submit statutory returns to meet all deadlines and regulatory requirements.

Manage statutory reporting, ensuring full compliance with financial regulations and standards.

Continuously review accounting processes, identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, and implement best practices.

Be our systems champion – unlocking efficiencies in D365 & Business Central and developing Power BI reporting.

Work closely with various teams, sharing financial expertise, and providing guidance to support their objectives.

Lead accounting, payables, and receivables functions in conjunction with the CFO.

Maintain banking relationships and lender covenants.

Ensure sufficient cash flow is held in operating accounts.

Opportunity to grow into a broader Finance Manager function within 12 months.

About You:

Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

CA/CPA qualification.

Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and statutory reporting.

Advanced proficiency in accounting systems, including D365, Business Central, and Power BI, is highly desirable.

Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide strategic insights.

Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
