We’re seeking a motivated and dependable Warehouse Operative to join our busy timber yard team. This hands-on role involves picking and packing orders, operating a forklift, loading and unloading trucks, maintaining a clean and organised workspace, and assisting with stock control. Reporting to the Warehouse Team Leader, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the warehouse.

Order Fulfilment

Accurately pick and pack customer orders in line with company standards

Ensure orders are correct and packaged securely for safe delivery

Truck Loading & Unloading

Load and unload incoming and outgoing containers/trucks efficiently

Verify the accuracy of loaded goods and ensure timely dispatch

Receiving & Stock Organisation

Receive and check deliveries against paperwork

Organise and store goods in designated areas to maintain warehouse flow and accessibility

Warehouse Cleanliness & Safety

Keep the warehouse tidy, clean, and compliant with safety standards

Maintain workstations and storage areas in an orderly condition

Order Preparation & Dispatch

Support the preparation and packing of orders for dispatch

Ensure all packed orders meet company and customer presentation requirements

What You’ll Need

Valid forklift license and previous experience in a warehouse or yard environment (timber industry preferred)

Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures accurately

Physically fit and capable of lifting and handling heavy materials

Team-focused attitude and good communication skills

Basic knowledge of workplace health and safety practices

Working Hours & Conditions

Full-time position: Monday to Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm

Some overtime or weekend work may be required during peak periods

This is a physically active role involving lifting, standing, and moving stock throughout the day
