An exciting opportunity for a motivated results-driven Retail Merchandiser / Sales Representative to join our team to cover Victoria, Tasmania, and South Australia.

Reporting to the National Sales Manager, this role focuses on business development, driving sales growth by cultivating strong customer relationships. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing in-store presentation of our industrial brand, ‘RedCat™’.

Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in industrial retail sales and a strong ability to uphold high merchandising standards. Having dealt with and not limited to; IHG M10- IHG Home Hardware, HBT, Synergy, CSS buying groups. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Build, grow, and nurture strategic partnerships with key stakeholders
• Maintain regular call cycles to ensure consistent customer engagement
• Execute effective merchandising strategies
• Deliver in-store training to customers to enhance product knowledge and sales
• Consistently exceed sales targets through professional selling techniques and superior retail merchandising
• Provide weekly call cycle reports to the National Sales Manager
• Attend and present monthly performance reviews at National Sales meetings in person or remotely
• Collaborating closely with the national supply team to ensure stock availability
• Execute effective promotional strategies including setting up and attending trade shows

Skills & Experience

• Sales & Customer Service Skills: Proven ability to build rapport, negotiate sales and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Retail Merchandising Experience: Previous experience in merchandising within hardware, industrial, or trade environments is preferred.
• Highly Organised & Detail-Oriented: Strong organisational skills and keen attention to detail.
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with industrial hardware, tapes, rubber or related products is an advantage.
• Self-Motivated & Organised: Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and plan store visits effectively.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with customers and stakeholders.
• Driver’s License: A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel interstate.
• Partnership Building: Ability to build, grow, and nurture strategic partnerships.
• Call Cycle Management: Maintain and provide weekly call cycles to ensure consistent customer engagement.
• In-Store Training: Ability to deliver product and brand training to retail staff.
• Sales Target Achievement: Consistently exceed sales targets through professional selling and retail merchandising skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office: Solid understanding of Microsoft Office applications.
• Desire to Learn: A strong willingness to continuously learn and grow within the role.
