About the role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Swim Teacher to join our team at Benowa Children's Centre in Benowa, QLD. As a casual Swim Teacher, you will be responsible for providing high-quality swimming instruction to children of all ages and abilities. The role offers flexible work hours, allowing you to balance your teaching commitments with other priorities.

What you'll be doing

Delivering engaging and age-appropriate swimming lessons to children, from babies to school children

Assessing and monitoring students' progress, and adapting lesson plans accordingly

Ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students

Maintaining accurate records of student attendance and progress

Collaborating with the centre's staff to provide a cohesive and supportive learning experience

Actively participating in ongoing professional development to enhance your teaching skills

What we're looking for

Relevant qualifications in swimming instruction or a related field

Demonstrated experience in teaching swimming lessons to children of all ages and abilities

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students

Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to adapt to different student needs

A current First Aid and CPR certificate

A passion for fostering a love of swimming and water safety in children
