City of Victor Harbor is located on the coast of South Australia’s Fleurieu Peninsula, about 80 kilometres south of Adelaide’s CBD. It is the largest population centre of the Fleurieu region and considered to be the hub of the southern Fleurieu Peninsula. The Council area encompasses 346 square kilometres and includes pristine coastal and rural areas that add to the City’s lifestyle appeal and charm. Identified as a ‘satellite city’ in the Greater Adelaide Regional Plan, Victor Harbor is set to accommodate significant growth over the coming decades. The expansion presents an exciting opportunity to shape Victor Harbor into a dynamic, economically strong and inclusive community that attracts residents, visitors, jobs and investment.
This critical role reports to the Director Environment and Infrastructure and is part of City of Victor Harbor’s Leadership Team.
Supported by a diverse and capable team, the Manager will oversee the delivery of a range of complex projects, programs and services for the community, with a focus on asset management and property (approx. $362m in value), cemeteries, Geographic Information Systems (GIS)/mapping, land development engineering and capital projects.
Essential to success will be inspirational and proven leadership and culture building capability, outstanding stakeholder engagement, and well developed written and verbal communication skills.
Hands-on experience ideally in civil engineering, project, asset and/or contract management will be essential, along with sound financial acumen, and ideally a relevant qualification.
