Full-Time Position Available: Painting Estimator (Sydney Metro Region)

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Painting Estimator to join our Sydney team in a permanent full-time capacity. Please note: This position is not open to freelancers, and applicants without prior painting estimating experience will not be considered. This is a stable role with long-term growth opportunities for the right candidate.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Actively seek out tenders and RFQ packages for projects.
• Prepare accurate budgets for tenders and sales quotes.
• Respond to tender documentation and communicate with clients, trades, and suppliers regarding pricing and scope.
• Analyse and evaluate offers, input relevant data into spreadsheets, and present cost estimates and tender responses to Senior Management.
• Read, interpret, and understand construction documentation, plans, and specifications.
• Estimate material supply and labor costs for painting projects.
• Conduct on-site inspections as required.
• Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam or plansoft for project management and estimation etc.

About You:

We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

• Minimum 5 years experience in painting estimating within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of painting products, application processes, and remedial, residential, commercial, and Industrial work.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and project estimation software.
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet strict deadlines.
• Experience in tendering for both Private Sector & Government departments is preferred.
• Must hold a valid Construction Induction Safety Certificate (White Card).
• Based in Sydney.
