Our VIC site will require you to work approximately 38 hours per week on a Monday to Friday basis between the hours of 6.00 AM to 17.51 PM. Your focus will be on operating safely within a high-risk environment to distribute a high-quality product for use in the construction industry.

Our ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience in a similar position, a safety-conscious approach to tasks, knowledge of timber/bulk goods logistics, warehouse operations, and order picking in the construction industry.

Your duties will include:

• Picking, cutting, checking, wrapping, and labelling of orders as directed by the Site Supervisor in accordance with company procedures.
• General housekeeping duties as required.
• Forklift duties as required.
• Chain saw and other fixed plant machinery duties.
• Participation in stocktakes and cycle counts.
• Compliance with all Wesbeam work instructions, procedures, and policies.
• Recording and actioning damaged stock in line with company procedures.
• Reporting equipment faults promptly and tagging out unsafe equipment.
• Other duties as advised by the Production Supervisor.

Essential Selection Criteria:

• Minimum 2-years experience in a similar role.
• Experience operating a forklift and side loader.
• Previous experience using hand tools.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• High attention to detail with an aptitude for safety.

Desired Selection Criteria:

• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
• A commitment to ongoing learning and training development
• Previous experience in a similar industry (timber/construction highly desirable)
• Previous experience with quality control and data recording.

Essential Requirements:

• Proof of Rights to work in Australia.
• A current High-Risk Forklift Licence.
• Current National Police Clearance or willing to obtain at own cost (essential).
• Ability to complete a comprehensive Pre-Employment Medical, including a drug and alcohol screening with the company’s provider.
