We invite applications from career-focused, qualified and highly motivated LV/HV Electricians to join Ikon Electrical, a well-established electrical contractor with a Business Development and Supervisory role based in either of our Brisbane or Sunshine Coast Offices.

With a high level of experience in all facets of High Voltage Electrical work, the successful applicant will have the drive and ambition to take on the development and progression of this growing sector of our business.

Utilising your proven organisational skills, strong work ethic and consistent performance, you will co-ordinate and supervise teams in the field to ensure the delivery of successful projects for our customers.

Your efforts will be recognised and rewarded as we take on a number of new projects in the below fields:

• Civil / Electrical Reticulation.
• Road Lighting Construction and Modifications. (Rate 2, Rate 3)
• Energex Low Voltage and High Voltage Infrastructure
• Private High Voltage Substations
• Communications and NBN Reticulations
• Low Voltage and High Voltage Cable Installations
• Conduit and Pit Infrastructure for Energex customers

The successful applicant will be responsible for direct on-site management of staff and subcontractors while ensuring completion and compliance with all relevant third-party bodies, full involvement with the tendering process for new projects and offering new insight on further developments for management.

• Salary Package of up to $150,000 with equivalent inclusions and in accordance with Energy Qld Collective Agreement.

To be successful in the role, you must hold:

• Current QLD Electrical Licence
• LVR, CPR, Construction White Card (We will provide LVR, CPR, Pole Top & EWP training 6 monthly)
• Drivers Licence
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Supervisory Role with strong leadership and team management skills

Preference will be given to applicants with:

• URD/HV/LCC experience and current tickets (Energex approved)
• HV Recipient & Energex Qualifications

Have you got the following hands-on abilities:

• Develop and validate low voltage distribution switching programs.
• Perform low voltage field switching operation to a given schedule.
• Solve problems in single path circuits.
• Use drawings, diagrams, schedules, standards, codes, and specifications.
• Install, test, and verify distribution underground cable installations.
• Operate plant and equipment in the vicinity of live electrical apparatus.
• Lay power cables
• Install and maintain low voltage underground services.
