This role focuses on case management of Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) clients and Workers’ Compensation cases, with the opportunity to expand into team leadership activities for the right candidate.

Your Role:

Your Role:

As a Rehabilitation Consultant with Direct Solutions, you will play a vital role in delivering client-centred rehabilitation services under the new Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) Rehabilitation Program. You’ll support veterans and injured workers through tailored recovery pathways that promote wellbeing, independence, and return to meaningful life roles.

Key responsibilities include:

Managing a caseload of clients with physical and/or psychological injuries.

Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify individual rehabilitation needs.

Developing and implementing personalised rehabilitation plans aligned with DVA program goals.

Supporting smooth transitions from military service to civilian life, with a strong focus on psychosocial and vocational reintegration.

Applying evidence-based, early intervention strategies to improve outcomes.

Using motivational interviewing and other client-focused techniques to drive engagement and progress.

Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and liaising with key stakeholders to ensure coordinated care.

Preparing high-quality, timely reports that reflect clinical reasoning and outcomes.

Who We Are Looking For:

We are seeking highly motivated Rehabilitation Consultants with a passion for helping individuals recover and thrive. Ideal candidates will have:

Tertiary qualifications in Rehabilitation Counselling, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology, or Physiotherapy

Experience in occupational rehabilitation, case management, and return-to-work coordination

Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Registration with a relevant professional body

Comcare Accreditation

DVA experience (preferred but not essential)

National Police Check & Working with Children Check

Mental Health First Aid Training

Experience in occupational rehabilitation

A strong passion for health and wellbeing

Excellent communication & organisational skills

A current driver’s license
