We are seeking a proactive, positive, participant-focused, and detail-oriented Social Group and Adventure Leader to work in our Autism Adventures service. The role will oversee the delivery of social groups, day and overnight adventures for people living with Autism across the Moreton Bay area.

Autism Adventures specialises in supporting autistic youth (ages 14 to mid 20s) to build meaningful relationships, and to reach their full potential through fun and engaging social groups and community-based day and overnight Adventures. Our participants may have complex needs, including mental health challenges, but we are dedicated to providing a supportive environment where they can thrive.

What You’ll Do:
As a Social Group and Adventure Leader you'll facilitate social groups and lead day and overnight Adventures. No two days are the same! One day you might explore a museum, the next you could be kayaking, horse riding, or saving the world from zombies in a virtual reality gaming room.

Your role will be to:

✔️ Facilitate Social Groups and Day and Overnight Adventures, fostering friendship and skill development.

✔️ Support young people to build confidence, improve communication, and reduce social isolation.

✔️ Collaborate with the NDIS Program Coordinator to deliver high-quality, participant-focused services.

✔️ Work independently while contributing positively to the broader team environment.

✔️ Apply sound judgement and initiative to resolve challenges and improve program delivery.

✔️ Maintain accurate administrative records and ensure compliance with NDIS Practice Standards.

✔️ Build and maintain strong relationships with participants, families, and external stakeholders.

Where you will work:
1. Lead Social Groups in Deception Bay QLD on Wednesday nights.
2. On weekends undertake Adventures with clients throughout South East Queensland!

What You Bring:

• Experience working with individuals with disabilities, particularly Autism, and an understanding of their unique needs.
• Ability to work independently under general direction while collaborating effectively within a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to exercise sound judgement in program-related tasks.
• Excellent time management, planning, and organizational abilities.
• Fitness! Our participants love being active and you'll need to keep up!
• Knowledge of NDIS Practice Standards and relevant compliance requirements.
• Strong administrative and record-keeping skills.
• Great communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
• Relevant qualifications - Open Drivers License, NDIS Worker Screening Check, Blue Card & Certificate III in Youth Work, Disability or other equivalent & current First Aid & CPR.
