Business Analyst | Opera PMS Replacement

We’re looking for an experienced Business Analyst to support a major Opera PMS replacement project for a leading hospitality organisation in Melbourne CBD. This is a 6-month contract with hybrid work arrangements (3 days on-site per week).

About the Project:

The organisation is migrating from an on-premise Opera PMS to a new cloud-based solution, as Oracle will discontinue support for the current version by April 2027. While Opera Cloud is one potential option, the final system has not yet been decided. The business is in the early stages of evaluating vendors and defining requirements, and a structured RFP process will be undertaken to assess and select the best solution.

What You’ll Need:

• 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst, with a relevant degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related fields
• Experience leading requirements scoping, workshops, planning, and impact assessments in Agile environments
• Strong RFP and Business Case preparation skills, with experience supporting vendor selection processes
• Background in the hospitality or leisure industry, ideally with PMS experience
• Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships and navigate change effectively
• Proficiency in business process modelling (BPMN, UML), Jira, Confluence, and process documentation tools (Visio, draw.io)
• Experience with API integrations, data mapping, and system migrations
