Overlanda Caravans is a custom caravan manufacturing company based in Ararat. With our dedicated service repair centre located next door. We are looking for looking for skilled all-rounders to join our team. Someone who is a thinker, problem solver, takes great pride in their work and fits in well within our existing team. Someone who can hit the ground running.

The successful applicant will be working in all aspects of caravan manufacturing from start to finish. Also including servicing and maintenance, insurance repair claims, repairs and modifications, caravan accessories and fitment.

Caravan Production Labourer basic duties will include but are not limited to:

• General production support in a manufacturing environment
• Loading / Unloading
• Pressing / Folding/ Fabrication / Welding
• Mounting of vehicle bodies to cab chassis
• Fit-out/cutting/cabinetry work
• hydraulic fitting and set up
• Pneumatic fitting and set up
• Fitting of auto electrical components
• Fitting of accessories items and other general fit-up work
• Housekeeping/cleaning as required
• Other duties as requested

Caravan Service & Repair Technician basic duties will include but are not limited to:

• Brake & bearing servicing
• Insurance repair work
• Servicing & installations of accessories
• Warranty & repair work
• 12V electrical work
• 240 volt electrical work
• Plumbing work
• Cabinet making
• Fault finding & repairs

Job Skills Required

• Caravan industry experience desirable but not essential
• Electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic knowledge desirable but not essential
• Physical fitness, good agility, to be able to perform work underneath the vehicle
• Competent in the use of hand and power tools
• Excellent communication skills
• Forklift license & Truck License (desirable)
• Excellent time management skills and ability to work to deadlines
• Excellent team working skills
• Good problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of LEAN & 5S principles desirable but not essential
• Good understanding of OHS
• Must be self-directed and able to complete projects with limited supervision

We work a four day week Monday – Thursday 7:00am to 5:00pm.

Parttime/Fulltime hours on offer, remuneration between $28 - $32 depending on experience to be negotiated with successful applicant.
