The opportunity
We're looking for a self-driven individual who enjoys working hands-on. Based out of our Head Office in Hallam, our Fleet Manager is primarily responsible for the day-to-day running and maintenance of the company’s fleet of equipment and vehicles, while providing/organising servicing and repairs to our equipment. The Fleet Manager is also responsible for ensuring all costs are controlled.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and complete servicing and maintenance of all Lantrak equipment & vehicles in line with manufacturing standards
- Prioritise repairs and maintenance of site equipment as required in consultation with site supervisors and CEO
- Follow up on all accident and accident claims and manage them effectively
- Maintain updated records of all Lantrak’s equipment and vehicles in the Fleet Management System (e.g. Kilometres, service history, maintenance and repair works, fault clearances etc.)
- Responsible for stock ordering procedures
- Submit all machinery and vehicle insurance claims and associated processes
- Be across overall fleet cost analysis and reporting procedures, including obtaining the best prices for large-scale quotes, sourcing fuel suppliers etc.
- General Fleet HSE management (e.g. Maintain a tidy and safe workshop, safety signage, risk assessments for all equipment and vehicles etc.)
What you’ll need to succeed
- Trade Qualified Diesel Mechanic with at least 3 years of experience
- Experience working on earthmoving equipment (preferred)
- HR licence
- Ability to work independently
- Strong focus on safety and quality
