Key competencies (role specific criteria)
You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to screen and where authorised, report and validate non-gynaecological cytology preparations.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake, or rapidly acquire the skills to undertake, cytology specimen preparation, assessment, diagnostic testing and related duties.
- Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively within a team environment to achieve the goals of the work unit.
- Demonstrated willingness and ability to actively participate in and contribute to continuing education and other professional development activities.
Qualifications, registrations and other requirements
- The successful applicant must hold at least a Bachelor of Applied Science majoring in Medical Laboratory Science (or agreed equivalent) from a recognised university or tertiary institution.
- CT(ASC) qualification or agreed equivalent.
- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager prior to the commencement of duties.
- Please detail any visa conditions you may have if you are not a permanent resident of Australia.
