Service Officer (Bank Reconciliation) – Perform daily reconciliations, resolve discrepancies, and support financial reporting. $43.20/hr + super.
- Role Title: Service Officer (Bank Reconciliation Officer)
- Duration: 23 December 2024 – 30 June 2025
- Pay Rate: $43.20 per hour + super
- Working Hours: 7 hours/day, 35 hours/week
- Location: Goulburn NSW
- Work From Home: Available only after training and in line with departmental decisions. The majority of the team is in-office daily.
About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bank Reconciliation Officer to join our team. This role is responsible for performing daily reconciliations of transactions, identifying and resolving discrepancies, and supporting accurate financial reporting. You will work closely with internal departments to ensure efficient financial operations and compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily reconciliations of receipts from payment portals.
- Collate data in Excel from various reporting tools to assist with reconciliation.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies or variances in transactions.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial record-keeping.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and relevant accounting standards.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in reconciliation and reporting procedures.
- Handle high-volume transactions efficiently.
- Support Senior Officers with issue resolution.
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Resolve email enquiries and tickets from internal and external stakeholders.
About You:
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- At least 6 months of experience in an accounts role with a strong focus on reconciliations.
- Experience working with large ERP systems.
- Intermediate Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
- Ability to thrive in a high-volume, transactional environment.
- Strong communication skills and high attention to detail.
- Ability to meet deadlines, multitask, and maintain a proactive attitude.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and work collaboratively within a team.
