As our business is growing, we are looking for an Underground Supervisor to join our team on a casual basis.

About the Role:

• Supervise underground operations, ensuring adherence to plans, schedules, and safety standards.
• Coordinate daily site activities, including excavation, ground support, ventilation, and water management.
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations and enforce best practices.
• Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Provide leadership and direction to field personnel, ensuring tasks are executed efficiently.
• Liaise with the manager to report progress, challenges, and required resources.
• Manage and maintain equipment, ensuring all machinery is in safe working condition.
• Support training and development of site personnel, ensuring competency and compliance.
• Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Maintain site records, including daily logs, safety reports, and progress documentation.
• Assist in identifying opportunities for operational improvements and efficiency gains.
• Independently manage scheduling, ensuring the timely completion of tasks and efficient resource allocation to meet project deadlines.
• Oversee procurement duties, managing the acquisition of materials, services, and equipment critical to project success.

About you:

• Relevant qualification in Mining, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in underground mining or tunnelling projects.
• Strong understanding of underground construction techniques and safety regulations.
• Proven supervisory experience in a mining or construction environment.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Current Driver’s Licence.
• Current White Card (Construction Induction Training).
