Our client, a secure and very well-funded Federal Government entity is seeking Data Platform Engineer to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the optimisation and maintenance of data ingestion pipelines including both stream and batch technologies.
• Develop and manage data storage table and message schemas for various event formats.
• Support Hadoop and similar technologies to ensure data is stored and accessed efficiently.
• Ensure the effective implementation of role based access controls across data lake components through technical enforcement and audit.
• Identify, report and remediate platform issues through proactive monitoring of health and performance metrics.

Technical skills:

• At least 5 years' experience as a data engineer working with tight security controls, monitoring solutions, data ingest and pipelines.
• Proven ability to communicate complex technical systems to non-technical audiences.
• 5. Experience developing, managing, and implementing SOPs and procedures in support of security accreditation frameworks.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology Experience managing complex projects.
• Experience with the use of cloud-based technologies.
