The Role

We are seeking a Senior Cyber Security Analyst to proactively identify risks and implement security controls across our Corporate (IT) and Operational (OT) digital infrastructure. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring a mature cyber security posture, supporting organisational goals and objectives while safeguarding our systems.

*This role is permanently based in Tasmania

  • Monitor and analyse security incidents, responding to and mitigating threats effectively.
  • Lead initiatives to continuously improve the organisation's cyber security posture.
  • Support the development and enforcement of security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Maintain close and effective communications including mentoring with Digital & Technology colleagues particularly the Cyber Security Team
  • Work with the Cyber Security Manager to provide leadership and direction to the wider Cyber Security stakeholders

What We're looking for

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of security frameworks, risk management, and threat mitigation, along with the ability to implement and manage security controls. Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills, and effective communication are essential. Relevant cyber security certifications are preferred.

  • Degree or equivalent work experience/ qualifications in relevant discipline such as Cyber Security or Information Technology
  • Ability to lead the response to Cyber Security incidents and investigations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, which can come from experience in event planning, construction management, or software development.
  • Be able to pass relevant probity checks including those related to the Security of Critical Infrastructure Act 2018 (SOCI)

The Details

This role can be based in either Hobart, Launceston, or Devonport and attracts a salary of $124,474 - $138,304 (inclusive of superannuation), negotiable dependent on experience.
