About Us

At Portable Buildings WA, we’re experiencing exciting growth and are looking to expand our team to meet the increasing demand for our innovative portable structures. Based in Oakford, Perth, our factory specializes in manufacturing Portable Granny Flats, Offices, and Accommodation Blocks. We are currently seeking motivated Laborers to assist in building high-quality portable buildings.

Position: Trade Assistant/Labourer
Type: Casual (with the potential for permanent, full-time)
Hours: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM ( Friday finish at 1:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Build portable buildings with accuracy and attention to detail, some light welding.
• Operate hand and power tools for various construction tasks.
• Fit insulated panels to walls and roofs, and assist with interior fittings, including bathrooms and kitchens.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and follow instructions.
• Adhere to company policies and safety procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

• Organized, reliable, and well-presented.
• Experience in portable building or general construction is highly regarded.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Self-motivated with a high level of reliability.
• Immediate availability preferred.
• Must pass drug and alcohol testing.
• Police clearance certificate required.
• Forklift ticket is an advantage.
• Additional skills such as welding, plumbing, or painting are beneficial.

Additional Requirements

• White Card (Work at Heights certification is highly regarded).
• Full working rights in Australia.
• Ability to complete required inductions and medical fitness assessments.
